engineering jobs

When I was job hunting of engineering jobs back in 2005-2006, I used many websites to aid in my search. this Crossing was one of these sites. Its interface is not very friendly and not very fun to look at. Its very bare bones and finding the engineering jobs you are wanting to find can be tedious. I was able to find lots of engineering jobs there though and got a lot of interviews through the jobs in engineering listings I replied to via this site, but I did not actually find a engineer job through this site. I would recommend it to everyone just the same though, as you can never have too many places to look for a engineering job when you need one. Its a good resource once you get used to it and learn all its secrets.

Las Vegas, Culinary Union make peace on new City Hall

This article explores a developing trend in the online las vegas casino jobs industry: sites that get employers to pay job candidates for the right to interview them.

It may not be the holiday gift everyone was expecting, but the City of las vegas hotel jobs is on the verge of making peace with a group it has been fighting all year long.

Wednesday, without fanfare, the Culinary Union announced it would back off on its opposition to a new City Hall in exchange for having a bigger say in downtown redevelopment.

Although this has already been quite a fight with the mayor and construction workers who favor a new City Hall, this should eliminate some thorny legal battles and the Culinary Union's attempts at blocking the project.

With a three page memorandum of understanding, it appears that peace is at hand.

When construction workers packed City Hall in February, they were furious with the actions of the Culinary Union. And so was Mayor Oscar Goodman.

"Anybody trying to preclude j-o-b-s... it's a sin!"

At every turn, the mayor criticized the Culinary Union for its stubborn opposition to the expensive idea of building a new City Hall and creating new opportunities for downtown development.

Now, in a dramatic turn of events, the Culinary Union has agreed to drop its legal challenges and refrain from picketing a new downtown hotel provided the union – and average citizens – have a voice in the process of what is built and how it's funded.

As it currently stands, downtown city of las vegas jobs is only marginally successful as a tourist destination. But Mayor Goodman says big-time developments – like a new sports arena, new hotels, and a new City Hall – will change all of that.
